Chicken Curry Doria

A simple doria made by baking curry-flavoured rice topped with a white sauce-style topping. Healthy with low-fat milk.

Ingredients

Rice150g
Chicken breast (skinless)80g
Onion1/4
Curry powder2 tsp
Consommé1/2 tsp
Low-fat milk100ml
Plain flour1 tbsp
Low-fat sliced cheese1 slice
Salt and pepperA pinch

Instructions

    Cut the chicken breast into small pieces and finely chop the onion.

    In a non-stick frying pan, sauté the onion and chicken, then add the curry powder and mix with the rice to make curry rice.

    In a small saucepan, add the plain flour and low-fat milk, mix over a low heat and warm until thickened to make a white sauce.

    Spread the curry rice in an ovenproof dish, pour over the white sauce, and top with the cheese.

    Bake in a toaster oven for 5-7 minutes until golden brown, and it's ready.
