Onion Gratin Soup (Low-Fat Version)

Ingredients

Onion1
French bread (thinly sliced)1 slice
Low-fat cheese10g
Consommé2 tsp
Water350ml
Salt and peppera pinch

Instructions

    Thinly slice the onion and sauté slowly in a non-stick pan over a low heat for at least 20 minutes until caramelised.

    Add the water and consommé, simmer for 10 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.

    Pour the soup into an ovenproof dish and top with the French bread and cheese.

    Bake in an oven toaster until the cheese has melted.
